Chordettes 1961 "45 record"
According to George Yates who sent this and it premiers at site 7/23/2007:
"Apparently, the records for American Bandstand were stored in a numeric filing system--according to the record jacket. I've seen some of these 'heavy-duy' green jackets before on mostly the older WFIL stuff. I'm guessing that they probably tossed the original skimpy paper ones and used the stronger green ones instead. Makes sense? I think the big '105' might be from WFIL and the handwritten '1449' might be from CA?! Well, anyway I'm glad it made it to my Dad's 'Bandstand Basement.' "NOTE FROM MARSHA: I do believe George has stated correctly how the records were stored. I recall seeing a picture of Dick Clark with Frani & Angel Kelly and they are going through the stored records in a record room.
