Circa early 1960s BARBIZON Bedjacket
What a wonderful bedjacket from the past! You will rarely find a Barbizon bedjacket so uniquely lovely and in excellent never worn condition. Someone put this away in a drawer and kept it like new. In fact, it is new old stock with it's paper Barbizon tag pinned on the lining and quickly removable to save, since this is a sewing straight pin. The Barbizon label is also pristine and intact within the garment. It's from the "Glory Puff" line of Barbizon Recollection. The quilting in this is especially wonderful, since it is light and it's decorated with tiny blue morning glories all over (hence the name Glory Puff). Fabric is 42% Rayon, 33% Nylon, and 25% Dacron-Polyester. It states you can wash and wear it. The lining is a stunning blue to match the blue morning glories on the outside. The beautiful ribon embroidered trim around the collar edges and the sleeve ends add an additional charm to an already totally charming fashion. Two luminous buttons close the jacket at the top. The size in the sixties would have fit a size 10/12, but today's size would be about a 6/8. Bust sizes would be 34/35. This is an incredible vintage find and you will love it. They are not going to come any nicer and you'll have a fashion like new that is around 40 years old. You won't find any contemporary ones so cute. Smoke-free and odor-free--It's a must have for anyone collecting vintage bed jackets. (I see bedjacket or bed jacket as spellings, so have put both).
