May 1959 TV Guide Southern California Edition (Key No. 040) Beautiful Loretta Young on cover Lorretta Young was on the cover of at least 11 TV Guides that I know of and you can see why. She was extremely glamorous and photogenic and this particular cover is one of the very best. She is pictured wearing a very unique cocktail hat and strings of pearls, which showcase her face to the max. This is one of the more hard to find TV Guides and you will find it in exceptionally great condition. The pages are clean, flat and intact. There is age yellowing of the B&W pages. The color picture pages are wonderful. There is far less than the expected wear you would imagine for an issue that is just a few months short of 52 years old. There's another color page photo inside of Ms. Young and it says that she was 45 at the time but looked 32! Inside you will also find a full page color picture of the popular newscaster David Brinkley as well as a color picture of Patricia Morison. Also inside is another lovely lady of the silver screen--Ms. Claudet Colbert--in a full page color picture. If you like to look at what was appearing on TV May 16-22, 1959, this is a great piece of history as well. This is a nice thick issue of TV Guide with 80 "guide pages" and 31 interest and photo magazine pages.
