ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This page is an acknowledgment/thank-you page to the people who have offered encouragement for the site, especially the galleries--and most particularly Early American Bandstand galleries. It's also a place to individually note our thanks to those who have gone the extra mile and sent pictures and other memorabilia to share with all of you.

  • CAROLE SCALDEFERRI (Regular) has provided a great many photographs and lots of history from her personal collection. This is an on-going project. See her individual page and the various gallery pages. When the interactive message boards existed at the site, Carole contributed a great deal of rare personal insights into the history of her time on American Bandstand.

  • DIANA BENERO (Regular) has contributed a number of pictures to the site of herself, her cousin Regular Carole Scaldeferri, and others. When the site had interactive message boards, Diana was a delighter poster who provided a lot of special information.

  • FRANK RUGGERIO (Regular) has provided many photographs and much history from his personal collection of Early American Bandstand. This is an on-going project. See the gallery pages, where each is acknowledged as added.

  • KENNY ROSSI (Regular) provided a number of great pictures of the OLD WFIL Studio Tours in the new Enterprise Center. He sent these to MARIAN DRISCOLL for sharing with everyone at the site. We express our thanks!

  • BONNIE NADLEY danced for a while on American Bandstand and was a friend of PAULA KOPICKO (Regular). Together they provided a number of pictures for the site--pictures from the early 1960s American Bandstand.

  • JANET HAMILL (Regular) did contribute at times to the message boards that were at the site for 4 to 5 years and she has sent some pictures as well for the site. She has given permission to Karen Bosley to submit pictures Karen has as a result of being Janet's Fan Club President.

  • JOSEPH ORITO has provided the site a good list of Regulars' birthdays and their signs. We appreciate it very much and it will be used in the continued building of the Birthday Page.

  • KEN KOSTYRA has contributed a stack of fantastic 1960 and 1961 American Bandstand candid pictures--and they just keep coming! His sister NANCY LA HA has also contributed a number of wonderful photos. Ken received many of these candid pictures from a friend (Arlene Skop) who visited the show from time to time and sent the pictures in correspondence after the visits. Another friend, Cathy Comer, attended the show and sent photos to Ken and Nancy over the years. Ken attended the show twice in 1961, and his sister Nancy also attended. More information regarding all that will be provided with the pictures in the galleries. We thank Ken for this extraordinary gift of pictures. Other special people are listed below who have previously contributed so much information and pictures!

  • JEAN DeLUCCA/LILA has been a wonderful supporter of this site since it's inception. She has purchased many vintage fashions and some memorabilia (Like a TEEN Magazine) and these purchases have helped very much in maintaining the costs of the site. She has also sent delightful pictures for the AB section. I consider her not only a buyer with great taste but also a very dear friend and a pleasure to know. Thank you, Jean!

  • MAR (Marian Driscoll) has contributed multiple photos to the site and much information on the late 50s and early 60s American Bandstand days. Mar visited the show and Pop Singers place and got to know many of the Regulars. You'll love the rare Arlene Sullivan pics and the Kenny Rossi pictures and information! Having come to know Mar as a delightful and fair person who loves to share, we thank her so much. She has become one of my best friends! She and Eleanor have been beyond gracious to the site and to the AB fans.

  • ELEANOR LIGMAN has contributed multiple pictures of the beautiful Carole Scaldeferri and handsome Nick Gaeta & Don Cione & others like Joe Fusco 'yesterday & today'. Eleanor frequently adds information as well. She's a great Bandstand fan & lovely person and someone who I treasure.

  • SHARON CONSTANTINE has donated the 1959 yearbook on sale in shop for $40 proceeds to go for gallery pictures. Out of the blue this lovely gal extended herself and expressed her appreciation. We thank her.

  • KAREN BOSLEY has contributed many lovely pictures of Janet Hamill for the site. I believe many of these pictures have not been seen before. Karen is a member of the site's messsage boards and she once was a fan club president for Janet Hamill.

  • DONNA VRONEK has contributed two 16 Magazines as well as providing a detailed birthday list of Regulars

  • STEPHANIE HAMMONDS has contributed many pictures from her personal collection of American Bandstand which she obtained via correspondence with Regulars and fans and which she saved along with her family photos in the same photo albums--that's how much the AB pictures meant to her!

  • SKIP MOYER has contributed not only the wonderful "America Dances" photograph, but also an amazing collection of 50s/60s TEEN MAGAZINES and other teen publications of that time---a total of 60--and all in wonderful condition which I received 11/20/06. I just could not believe how special that was of him. I will have reading material for months. He has also stated that I am free to keep or sell them so I told him that for any that are sold at the site, the money will go toward maintaining my tribute section to Early American Bandstand. Even though the magazines were so nicely donated to me, the prices may be noted as high on my site, as it would be very difficult for me to part with them for any less--and, of course, the price obtained would be toward the good cause of being able to fund my picture storage costs. Skip continues to contribute items on an on-going basis and I am truly amazed.

  • DONNA R has contributed some beautiful color pictures of Bob & Justine for the site, as well as being a poster who shares her memories of Justine & Bob and others on AB.

  • PAT H. was a member of the boards that existed at the site for a long time. She has uplited this site almost daily since its inception by providing wonderful song posts and history of American Bandstand. I had called her a friend long before I ever created a website.

  • LEIGH OF PHILA has sent many of her personal collecton pictures of American Bandstand Regulars & autographed materials for the site to post. First of her materials appeared on site 12/14/06

  • GEORGE YATES George Yates is the son of Ed Yates and George is one of the nicest people to ever visit and contribute to my website. His Dad was Ed Yates, Director of American Bandstand during not only the Bob Horn days in Philly (1953) but also through the Dick Clark years in Philly (through 1964) and then some of the Dick Clark years in California (1965 - 1969). George has been the Yates famly historian since the passing of his dad. George found many rare and wonderful items in the basement of his Dad's home and has generously and graciously shared these items with us.

  • DON GILLIS from Cumberland, RI, has sent us many old and some rare pictures of American Bandstand and the Regulars. Don visited American Bandstand in July of 1960 and some of the pictures were taken when he visited the show. Others were from fan club memberships. We thank Don for this precious find of pictures. It was unbelievably kind of him to ship his AB Scrapbook and materials to me for loan to scan the pictures. Please check out Don's web site at: www.littlerhodytheater.com.

A SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND THANKS TO THESE AMERICAN BANDSTAND REGULARS WHO POSTED AT THE INTERACTIVE MESSAGE BOARDS WHICH EXISTED AT MY SITE FOR ABOUT 4 TO 5 YEARS: Carole Scaldeferri, Arlene Sullivan, Diana Benero, Janet Hamill, Charlette Russo, Frank Levins, & Carmella Astrella. Myrna Horowitz posted in the first year of the message boards. Marlene Miznanin was a member of the message boards and may have posted a time or two. Donna Fusaro joined the boards but did not actively post. George Yates (son of AB Producer Ed Yates) was a poster at the interactive message boards.
